FAMILY
Martial Arts
Few activities tie families more closely together than practicing martial arts. While in many ways martial arts is a personal journey, we’ve found that family martial arts is the purest way to blend individual practice with community service.

Family Martial Arts
We think this is one of the best family activities going! Often an individual parent or child will begin attending class, and have their child/parent become interested. At other times parents will want to sign up with their child or young teen, but do not want to attend separate classes.
Our family class is designed to allow and encourage family members to sign up and train together. With a discounted membership for families, this class makes it easy to jump right in together without worrying about individual sign-ups or separate classes. In addition, we will sign up kids as young as 5 as long as a parent is here training with them.
Families that sign up together, line up together. We only rarely separate the kids and adults (typically so that each can practice with a like-sized partner). Training this way allows for family bonding while doing the same activity, and sets you up for success practicing at home, helping and encouraging each other.
Parents play a key role in their kids’ martial arts journey and development. Adults will typically learn faster than children, and your continued training and leadership will help your child develop and progress all the more. It’s also a chance to let them take the lead and show you how to do something you’ve learned, building their confidence along with the techniques.
